The Last leg…for now

We revisited Stockton and caught up with V4 for a few hours…always so good to be with her!  We hit sunshine…which was such a foreign thing over the last few weeks.  We sat outside, in the sun, with a glass of bubbles and enjoyed some fish and chips.

I always love to come down over the Blue Mountains and look at the Bathurst Valley…this afternoon was no different - a beautiful blue sky and visibility for kilometres.

And some stats….You can see the specifics of the trip with this Link on Wikicamps

Quickly….12 days, 2615 kms….

More water and heading home….

From Bellingen we travelled to Casino, an ATV ride around and 500 acre property made us feel young again.  We stayed in a caravan park where V1 met with a local who had been travelling for 35 years…and guess what -he came from Portland!

The next day saw us lunch at Sawtell and continue south to Nambucca Heads.  We stayed at the end of the breakwall - a great caravan park that has it’s own lagoon and direct access to a walk along he breakwall and well as a beach - I think we’ll be back!    The park had a mix of touring campers and some permanent cabins….there was one we walked past and had a huge giggle…faerie gardens, minions and warning signs…”I have issues”.

A walk along the breakwall (under umbrella) filled the time with reading all the painted rocks…such a great idea - from homemade and handprints and naive writing to works of art.
